X-files 2 to be released on July 25th - 2008

Twentieth Century Fox has announced a July 25, 2008 release for a new motion picture based on the phenomenally-popular, award-winning series THE X-FILES. Long-anticipated but only recently confirmed, the film reunites series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson under the direction of series creator Chris Carter, who co-wrote the screenplay with Frank Spotnitz.

The as yet untitled film storyline is being kept under wraps, known only to top studio executives and the film’s principals. This much can be revealed: The supernatural thriller is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show’s most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the always-complicated relationship between Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder’s pursuits.

Terry Gilliam Possibly Looking at Johnny Depp to Replace Heath Ledger?

Sci Fi Wire has found a rumor printed in the British tabloid The Sun which says that director Terry Gilliam is looking to Johnny Depp to take over the role played by actor Heath Ledger in the currently shooting fantasy film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Heath Ledger was six weeks away from finishing the work on the movie when he was found dead in a New York apartment on Jan. 22, 2008..

"There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror," a studio source told the paper. "He could change into another character after that, and that is where Johnny would come in. It's a weird, fantasy, time-travel movie, so Heath's character could easily change appearance. It would be a poignant moment. Johnnys not working at the moment, so everyone is praying he will do it."

Heath Ledger found dead in Manhattan apartment

Heath Ledger, the 28-year-old leading man was found dead in a Manhattan apartment, that was possibly due to a drug overdose. Heath Ledger was last seen alive around noon, according to the New York Police Department. His body was discovered about 3:30 p.m. ET by a housekeeper that went to tell the actor that his masseuse had arrived for his afternoon appointment. Apparently Heath was in bed surrounded by pills. NYPD had said that Ledger had been living in the apartment, which was owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. Ledger is a star in this coming summer's new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. He plays the Joker to Christian Bale's Caped Crusader.

In Bruges - Sundance Movie Trailer

Colin Farrell plays Ray, a hitman who is transmitted from its shelf to Bruges which is a fairy of small story as the village. Bottle Shock is a story of the early days of California wine making featuring blind Paris wine tasting of 1976 that has come to be known as "Judgment of Paris." This looks like a great film.

Last year’s trend of “I’m pregnant!” continues into 2008 with a movie called Baby Mama. Tina Fey’s character cannot get pregnant, so she hires an uneducated chick from South Philly to be her surrogate or some would call her "her babys mama"! Fey’s homegirl from the SNL “Weekend Update” years gets her baby mama on squatting in a sink, eating junk food, watching monster truck rallies and giving a delayed response. Sigourney Weaver and Dax Shepard also appear ranking about a 4 and a 5 stars on the laughing my butt-off-o-meter. And that guy from Weeds Romany Malco, stops by as a door man to do a pretty nice infantile.
